He seems to be a good sleeper (of course I worry that it is a problem he sleeps so soundly.) I told him he can wake me to change his diaper, I don't mind...but so far he usually doesn't take me up on that. So I don't know...is that normal for a baby to sleep that soundly?
And ugh...I have to wake this sweet little sleeping guy so I can make sure he gets some milk before his morning blood draw...
Let's hope we get a much higher count today....word is (I was just told) if we get those numbers up to a respectable number we can switch to oral antibiotic and that is our ticket outta here! But his neutrophil numbers need to be much, much higher than they have been (170 was yesterday's count).
More later, gotta wake him before they get here for his blood...

Laura, I am so sorry for all of your struggles, but I have to say, he's one of the cutest newborns I've ever seen. Let me know if I can help in some way - I can even bring things to you in C'ville while my kids are in school, or provide a meal for Myers and Lillian, etc.
ReplyDeleteHe's a good looking baby
ReplyDeleteAs my mom will tell you, I slept through the night from the time she brought me home from the hospital, so if no one else is worrid about the sleeping, I wouldn't let it take up space in your brain!
ReplyDeleteDitto to What Erin says. My Mom loves to tell how I selpt long and soundly as a newborn and was sleeping 8+ hour nights by the time I was 6 months old. Sleepy babies can be happy/healthy babies too, so don't fret. Love and Prayers for you and yours!!!
