For now, I just want to say how blessed my kids are to be born into a family that is so supportive. In Philly my mom and my sister-in-law Becca helped Myers and I tremendously by being in there with us and taking care of Lillian while we had to commit most of our time and attention towards our little Gwen. Myers' mother Lane (known to her grandkids as "Sani" pronounced "sunny" - a special "village" name from their time in Papua New Guinea) was here last weekend to be with us before Arthur was born knowing she might not get to meet him. She helped us by caring for Lil so we could have some time to be with each other and to finish turning our office/junk room back into a lovely little baby's room. She did many house chores for me as well. Best of all, Arthur did decide to arrive before Lane left and because she was there at our house Lil was able to stay in bed and not even know we had left.
Several months back, Becca and our nephew, one year old Connor, along with my other sister-in-law, Sarah planned to come visit us this weekend and meet their new nephew. They altered their plans and arrived yesterday so they could take care of Lillian for now. Grateful doesn't begin to describe how I feel!

| Lillian even got to go to a birthday party today. She's been looking forward to it for a long time. It was for her friend Danny at Riven Rock. Aunt Sarah was wonderful enough to drive all the way out there to take her (Becca stayed back so Connor could nap)! Happy Birthday Danny! |
Last week we Lillian was taken care of by our good friends. Thank you Zeke and Jessie and Peter and Bethany for having Lil at your house for extra-long play-dates – for feeding her dinner and bringing her home and getting ready/in bed for us.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out and let me know you are there if/when we need (my mom and dad included!). We will, when/if the need arises, call upon the various help offered.
So many people have been asking about meals - and I'll post a Take-Them-a-Meal link here and on facebook soon (I want to have notes about Lil's food preferences since it is her I'm mainly concerned about - this is not a time I'm going to force her to try stuff- I want her to eat well since I can't be there to cook for her, and when I'm home.) I know the meals will help us out a ton when we are finally home, as we will have many visits to C-Ville and to the doctor in Harrisonburg on our calendar...till these neutrophils show up as permanent our life won't quite be normal.
Thank you, it is amazing to feel such support and love, we just hoped so much this time around we wouldn't find our self on this side of things again...
