Good News!

Preliminary bone marrow (analysis of outer part) shows he is making neutrophils!!! Platelets too. Alloimmune Nuetropenia is diagnosis (I actually am needing to hear it again...but I'm pretty sure that's the final ruling.)

Tomorrow they will see the pathology of the spongy part of the bone and that will help us see what's going on with the platelets. Could be so many newts at expense of plates so then we cut back on GCSF.

Needs to be off antibiotics for one more day and since we know he is making newts there is talk of maybe going home Thursday or Friday.

I am relieved...right now it has to still sink in, quite honestly. I am so thankful that it is finally looking up!!! Thank you God (and yet, there are so many children here...so I never feel quite right saying that..as I know everyone here has many people praying for them, as did Gwen, so I say thanks to God with still a heavy heart knowing not all prayers get answered the way we hope, knowing too we still have to weather him through till my antibodies are used up or die out).

It's been a rough morning for Arthur, he had to have a dressing change on his PICC (they have to peel the sticky tape off his neck...poor baby has cried so much since last night...wore himself out. All that after quite an awful night.

That's it for now...daddy is here and I'm going to try to get some more milk in this baby...
